After traveling for about 24 hours, we finally made it to PHF in Langfang, China! All 60 pieces of luggage made it as well - a true miracle! Nobody got quarantined and we moved through customs very easily. I went to bed around 10pm Beijing time and woke up the next morning feeling very refreshed - very little jet lag. This morning we took a tour of the whole facility. The tour was led by Clay and Jewel Floch, members of our church who just moved to China 5 weeks ago to work at PHF. The facility here is very beautiful as are our accomodations. At the end of the tour, we went into one of the houses where the children live. This one little boy, maybe about a year old caught my eye and I just had to pick him up. After a couple of minutes. the tour was moving on, so I put him down. He just kept looking at me, so I picked him up again and played with him for a while. Then we went to the clinic, which is kind of like a hospital here on the site and played with some of the kids there. It will be hard to leave them here when we go. Don't worry Shawn, I don't have any plans yet to pack one in my suitcase! Well now I'm off to the Beijing Wal Mart to get a few VBS supplies!Lori
PSHHHHH!!! no plans to bring one back????!!!! Im glad you're having a good time and that little boy sounds very cute.. at least through phone conversations and blog posts. I wanna hear more so keep up the blog posts.

oh, and I forgot to say, HAVE LOADS OF FUN IN THE BEIJING WALMART!!!!!!!! hope its not too crammed. ☺ ♥
ReplyDeleteMommy guess what I found a stray kitten and it looks like sophie I wanna take it home but right now it is in the back yard sleeping!! it is acually really sick i am going to ask grammy about it and show it to her and I made the mistake of giving it some water and now it wont leave!!! I sat outside this morning for about an hour with it, daddy thinks it has worms but i doubt it!! I miss u alot, hey did you know aunt suzy is on wednesday or thursday to grammy and papas house and we are going to have a big sleep over well off to see the cat I miss you luv ya lanie ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
